Pastor Nathan Walsh
I was born in Westminster, Maryland, and I lived there until I was nine years old. I was raised in the Church of the Open Door under the ministry of Dr. Norris Belcher, and my father was the music pastor of the church during that time. Being raised in church, I had heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and understood that I needed to trust Him completely. At the age of six, I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior.
When I was nine years old, our family moved here to York, Pennsylvania, as my father became the Senior Pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church. I was able to serve in the choir, orchestra, bus, and children’s ministry throughout my youth and teenage years. During this time, the Lord impressed on my heart to attend Bible college, and in August of 2012, I enrolled in West Coast Baptist College in Lancaster, California.
During my years at college, I was able to serve in children and bus ministries. I also had the opportunity to supervise a maintenance crew on campus, serve as a dorm supervisor, and lead a missionary prayer group. On May 4, 2016, I graduated from West Coast with a degree in Bible and Church Ministries, and a minor in Apologetics.
On May 23, 2016, I began serving here at Lighthouse Baptist Church. It has been exciting to see what God has been doing here, and I know that the future holds much more for the people at Lighthouse Baptist. We would love to have you come and be a part of our church family and see what God can do in your life as well.
